One Line A Day Journal

Writing has always been one of my favorite pasttimes, especially journaling. But too many times, I'd buy a blank book with a cute cover and write in it a few times before ultimately, losing interest or forgetting to keep up with it. Until I stumbled upon The. BEST. Journal. Ever. Before I moved in September, I bought this adorable five year journal. The concept is simple - write a sentence or two each day, for five years! And then you can go back and read what you did on a certain day and look back on how you were feeling and what you were achieving.

It's been almost three months now, and I have surprisingly not missed a single day! It's small {6 inches x 3 inches}, so I can keep it on my desk or in a drawer, and the price is right - Amazon.com is selling this journal for only $11.53! It's kinda crazy to think that if I keep up with it, it will document my day to day life until age 30!

Do you keep a journal?

I think I've seen this journal at Anthro, maybe? Not only is that an awesome idea I think I might know some people who would love that for a gift. Thanks for the idea. And yes, that would be super cool if you could stick to it, memories are awesome!

I'm like you- I pick a journal for its cover and over use it for a few weeks and then forget all about it and lose interest until I find another pretty cover. I used to keep a personal online diary (that was completely private) but after I became a "real blogger" I slowly stopped. Sometimes I think I want to start again but find it overwhelming. I like the idea of just a sentence or two but I also like the diaries that prompt you with a question or quote.

That is such a great journal! It makes it more convenient to just quickly jot down notes on the day especially if you live a busy life. I actually do write in a journal and sometimes I'll do really well in writing but then I'll always have gaps that I wish I could remember. I'm sure it'll be exciting to look back at the last five years of your life!

Someone gave me one of those a year ago and I started it on January 1st. I can't wait to start year #2 to see what I did a year ago. One line a day is pretty much all I can commit to : )

I don't want to think about the age it would take me to, but I love the idea of this journal! I might have to get one! I too have the same problem...there are so many half-started journals in my life, and what am I supposed to do with those?

Thanks for the great idea!

I've seen this journal before, it looks perfect for the busy girl that still wants a chance to write. I've been journaling for thirteen years! There was a lull for a couple of years but lately I've been back in full force. It's great to be able to look back on everything.
